MY VIEW...LOOKING THROUGH THE LENS...

After being a part of the Art Institute's family for 6 wonderful years, I became a stay at home mother with the birth of my first child. Going back to my roots in photography, I lived with an old Nikon (thanks Mom) strapped to my arm, documenting the life of this precious little being. I found that the passion I had for creating my gallery work had suddenly returned to photographing moments. It became my deepest goal to capture the essesence and life of the person in front of my camera.

A few years passed and with the birth of two more babies my old Nikon was put to the test. It wasn't long before I upgraded my equipment and ALP was born.

The passion I have for what I do translates into enough ideas in my head to last ten lifetimes. I live life with a zest and excitement for possibility. I think and dream big. At a recent Mom’s Group meeting, some friends gave me a mug that read: “Do something bold, something different and let them say ‘What was that?!’”  That’s me. That’s always been me.

I approach portraiture as I do my gallery work. I am continuously searching for that "it" moment, when I know it's just right- when I’ve tapped into something magical. I have a passion for people, and for capturing those moments that they hold dear. My number one priority is to create work that reflects not only the true essence of my subjects, but art reflecitve of my passion, enthusiasm and love of creating each unique, timeless piece.

Thanks for inviting me into your hearts and home. I feel truly blessed to be able to do what I do.

Sincerely,

Ann Latinovich
